My parents have a second home in New Market that had a 100 year old chicken barn coop that they took down. My dad brought some wood home from there for me to use and my brother made the "K" for the lettering. I think it turned out cute for Kau'e's room.
I want to add (maybe) rope around the edge of the boards to just "finish/polish" it off. But as of now I'm just excited to have another project done. Plus I made a mini one for baby girl but haven't yet made the initial since we haven't decided on a name.
