Summer will have lots of Pool Days

First pool day of the season.  First pool day for Yara!  Both of my kids love the water.  Here are some pictures of the experience last night.  Kau'e loved the kid pool.  At our apartment in CA there wasn't a kid pool so we had to hold him the whole time.  This time at our townhouse complex there is an adult pool and a kid pool.  He loved getting in and out.  I think I can handle that as long as he doesn't realize there is a much bigger pool outside of the fence of the kids pool...lol!

9 Months for Miss Yara

Our Miss Yara is 9 months old!  How can it be?

Weight: 18lbs 9.5oz
Height: 28.5"
Head circumference: 44.5

Crawling and almost mastered walking.  The most steps she has taken without any help is 4.  But she loves to walk with your hands holding hers or behind a walker or walking from ottoman to sofa.  She loves to walk on her knees though.  And can stand alone for at least 10 seconds.

Two top teeth and two bottom teeth.  The top have been coming in for a little over a week now.  But now when she opens her mouth you can see them.

Food: hates to be feed food so I have started putting out solid foods for her to pick up.  She loves to feed herself!  And loves her water sippy cup.

Toy: loves all toys but really loves her baby dolls.  Yes Memom gave her two baby dolls and she loves to carry them by the arm/hand and crawl with them.  The other day she had a baby doll in hand holding by both hands and walked to Granddad (3 steps).  It was a precious moment.

Mother's Day

Mother's Day 2013 was a special one. I had both of my children with me!  We had grilled hamburgers and hot dogs at MeMom and Granddad's house after church!

End of April Early May Happenings

Life is busy busy!  We've been doing a lot of fun stuff.  Romulo took a week off of work and we had fun staying around the house and doing little trips.  We went to the DC National Zoo, went to Tyson's for Lego and Tiffany fun!, took many walks, went out for treats, got lots done around the house, Romulo got a MRI done on his knee (finally), I had a church '50s sock hop dance (I made a 50's car cut out that my Mia Maids helped paint - Thomas did the cut out), and much more.  Yara is still practicing walking; yesterday she took one step from couch to ottoman.  She is also not wanting us to feed her; she is feeding herself.  We place blueberries, pears, banana, green beans, peas, carrots, bagels, puffs, watermelon, etc. in front of her and she eats it; eats about 30% of what we place in front of her!  She is happy with this.  Pictures to show what we've been doing.   More to come I'm sure.
