Zander had a fabulous baptism; the spirit was strong. I love the image in my mind of his little face coming up out of the water full of smile and letting the water drip down his face without wiping his eyes. It was like he was "soaking up all the drops of water" to cleanse his soul. It was beautiful. My brother did a wonderful job baptizing Zander. This was a tough position to be in since Zander's father was not worthy to baptize him. But when you look at it he could have not allowed Zander to be baptized at all.
As I think of the lyrics to the song "We'll Bring the World His Truth", it says "We have been taught, and we understand, that we must do as the Lord commands." We know it isn't easy to live in this life but we must be willing to try to repent of our shortcomings and come unto Christ for help in our adventure on this earth. Later in the song it says, "We know his plan, and we will prepare, Increase our knowledge through study and prayer." We must be always willing to study and gain Godly knowledge. Once we do this we are able to teach others about these truths either by word or by example.
I am grateful for the powerful spirit that was present at his baptism.
