Down In the Valley

My mom grew up in "The Valley" or Luray, VA and let me tell you its some of the most beautiful scenery anyone could dream up. Luray, VA is famous for the Luray Caverns and when my dad moved from Baltimore, MD to Page County, VA when he was a Junior in High School they both worked at the Caverns. So they say they met in a hole in the ground.
Both of my mom's parents grew up there and we have some major roots there. When we were in VA for the Holiday we made a day trip to Luray/Stanley Va area. We visited grave sites (documented them by taking pictures), saw my Aunt Vicki, saw my Great-Great-Grandparents house that is still standing but is abandoned, saw the house my mom grew up in (moved in when she was 6) but the house is also abandoned, saw the shed of my Great-Grandmother's (the land that her house stood on was sold and the house was torn down), enjoyed some Southern food, drove some of the Skyline Drive and had good times with my family.
