The Aguilar family has been blessed beyond measure this 2014 year. Lydia started off the year going back to school through BYU-I. And continues to be enrolled to get her degree in Business. Kau'e started school with a pre-k program through the special ed dept at the local school. He started at Ken Culbert Elementary but programs got changed so now he is at Mt View...also in Purcellville. Yara is busy as usually. And in June she had eye surgery on her left eye. She has made so many improvements since. Romulo is a manager at PwC in McLean. He works hard at work, at home, and keeping us all happy! He is a good man, husband, father, and friend! We were lucky enough to do swim classes with the children at the local indoor pool in Leesburg (Ida Lee), visited Brazil with Auntie Ellen for two weeks, saw Rio (check mark off my bucket list), enjoyed family time, went to DC to sight see, and so much more.

Vintage Pictures of Romulo and his Family
I've been going through pictures of when we went to Brazil during Christmas time, December 2011, and I came across pictures that I had scanned from Romulo's parents albums. And I wanted to share them. They are too cute!
Romulo's older brother Fabiano was died from Leukemia.

Life is Busy but I love it
Sure, I get tired and complain about things but really overall I can not ask for more. I love having two young kids that are testing every boundary but I have two kids! There was a time when all I ached for was to have a baby. Now, I have two and man am I getting all I prayed so hard for. Sunday's can be crazy as we never get to fully listen to the sacrament talks because one of us or both of us are out in the hallways running after the kids. Or wishing and hoping the kids would go to bed before their bedtime of 8...never happens! Or wanting to sleep in past 6:15am! Little things! But many people tell me to enjoy these moments because they pass too quickly...and I'm trying! Trying hard!
Kau'e goes to school early and it can be a fight to get him up and out the door by 7:09am. We try and hope for the best. But the only good thing about getting him out the door at 7:09am is that my day starts early and can get to a lot of things all before 9am! Lately, it's been baking...it's the holidays! Cookies and breads mostly. Yara is the lucky one who gets to stay home and eat all the dough and taste the first cookies! Lucky I know.
Kau'e is a very sweet boy that is growing and developing a lot. He loves his teachers and like today when his teacher Maryann came in late into the classroom he ran up to her and gave her a hug and said I missed you. He is so sweet.
Yara is saying more and more. She is my little helper. She will follow me and do everything I do. Just like the other night after bath time she saw the pile of stuff I started to collect by the stairs and as we headed down the stairs she had her arms full of stuff...just to help me out! What a good girl!
Romulo is working lots...leaves the house around 8 sometimes earlier and comes home by 8pm...sometimes later...We are grateful for his time at home after a long day! And we are grateful he provides so much for us! But most of all I love seeing how much the kids love their daddy! He is a good one!
