8 Months Miss Yara and Cherry Blossoms
Happy 8 months my little girl! And what better way to take those 8 months pictures than with the cherry blossom tree we have in our backyard. Its so pretty and I couldn't help but get the kids pictures taken even though it was total last minute and we aren't "PICTURE READY"...but this is who we are during the week so what better way than to show us in the last minute picture. We are happy and care-free these days. We wake up at 6am...yes its early around here, eat breakfast at 7am and then we decide what we want to do with the rest of the day. Most mornings now that its nice out we go on morning walks and I think I'm not the only one who enjoys these walks. Its quiet and gets us moving! We enjoy walking the quiet Purcellville trails. Then we usually end up back home or at MeMoms. Usually we go over to Memoms and Granddad's house in the afternoon after nap and lunch time. But some days require us to go earlier because MOM can't handle it...haha!
8 months
Size of diapers 3
Size of clothing 9-12 months
Eyes: Brown
Hair: Brown
Breastfeeding and solids (2 -3 times a day plus loves her water cup)
Solids: Apples, Sweet Potatoes, Bananas, Green Beans, Peas, Carrots, Prunes, Blueberries, Oatmeal, puffs, and anything else her brother gives her.
Words: Dadda, Momma, and other baby babbles.
She is our scavenger. She will sit underneath Kau'e's highchair and wait for him to drop something so she can eat. She will put anything and everything in her mouth. She will climb up the daycare table to get to the kids food. She has taken lollipops out of kids hands and sucked on it. She is crazy. She takes her brother's milk bottles, almond milk, and tries to suck on it. She is only 8 months but acts every much like an older kid! She just knows what to do with things...its amazing.
Crawling but is ready to take off any day now with walking.
Sleep...wish it was better but hey she is happy and if she is happy I'm happy. I've been saying that for mouths now and it hasn't changed. She is cutting out the morning nap though. Oh well. She wakes up 2 times during the night but I usually bring her into bed with us and I don't even notice it. So yeah.
Has two bottom teeth but there are two big bubbles on the tops coming so we are ready for more...oh boy.
She is such a happy baby that I could stand to have 5 more just like her but I don't think that will happen. But if I knew all would end up like her then BRING IT ON. Not sure if there are anymore. But she is a keeper. We love her.

Updating from the past month or two
It would snow then get nice then snow again. Finally spring sprung. But while we were in between winter and spring Yara was testing the waters by trying to walk. She is still trying to walk but I think any day now she will go! She cruises along furniture but still not successful with the independence. But until she gets it down we are at the mercy of everything; like black eyes. Kau'e loved the snow days...who wouldn't with Uncle Thomas driving the 4-wheelers.
Home Improvements
Thoams, Legacy Woodworking, did some built ins for our home! He did a garage shoe storage built in along with a basement entertainment center and then a built in for the kitchen; buffet open shelving! We painted the entertainment center Swiss Coffee (white) and then for the kitchen piece we painted it Swiss Coffee but then put a Stain over it. For the garage we used what our front door is, Farmhouse red from Mccormick Paints.
